SYSTEM 600 is the latest in the range of YAESU professional decametric stations.This is a versatile station which can be configured in several modes: professional, marine, amateur or general cover. SYSTEM 600 has an LCD screen, a dial and a number pad with 12 keys. SYSTEM 600 GES is compatible with the CODAN selector (please consult us).

SYSTEM 600 receives 50KHz at 29.999MHz and transmits 1.8MHz at 29.999MHz in SSB or AM (H3E at 2182KHz in marine mode). It is powered at 150W. It has 4 25-channel banks of memory.
System 600 only has one VFO but can work in semi-duplex, because the transmission and reception frequencies can be defined when a channel is programmed. The FC-800 coupling unit is compatible with SYSTEM 600.
SYSTEM 600 PROFESSIONNAL
The two major functions of SYSTEM 600 are ciphony and selective calling.
Ciphony : with its FVP24 option, SYSTEM 600 can transmit encrypted calls using the principle of vocal spectrum inversion. FVP24 allows for two confidentiality systems (to be specified prior to delivery) :
- encoding by fixed code.
- encoding by a shifting code which changes throughout the call.
Selective calling : SYSTEM 600 uses the telephone standard V21 in FSK 300 Bds. This protocol is specific to Yaesu so is not compatible with rival products.
There are10000 directions available and 5 preselections. Selective calling is not permanently active. It has to be initialised for every use. For both applications, it is preferable to use TCXO-4 for greater frequency stability.
SYSTEM 600 MARINE
The Marine mode has the same functions as the professional apart from the frequencies, as SYSTEM 600 only works on marine channels. If a channel has been programmed in memory it can only be used for reception, when an ALARM key becomes available on the front with direct access to the 2182KHz frequency.
